Emma's Garden Honey

from 4.45

Emma's Garden honey comes in two jar sizes, 8oz (227g) and 4oz (113g), and the labels feature one of Emma's photographs of a honeybee foraging on alliums in her garden.

Floral, light and fragrant, this delicious honey is our first harvest and is pure & untreated. We are ‘natural beekeepers’ and disturb our bees as little as possible. As a result they are happy, healthy & productive, which allows us to take just a little of their excess honey. The rest is left for the hive - after all, they’ve worked hard for it!

Our bees live in three hives nestled in a small wooded area in Golden Valley, Derbyshire. They are surrounded by woods, fields, meadows of wildflowers & are within flying distance of plenty of gardens, providing them with lots of perfect foraging opportunities!

Do not feed honey to infants under one year of age
Honey may occasionally contain botulinum spores and has been identified as a risk factor for infant botulism.

Your honey will granulate or thicken over time. In fact this change is the best proof of its quality.

It can easily be restored to the liquid state by either of the following methods:

(1) Loosen the lid and stand the jar in hot water so that the water completely surrounds the jar. Heat very gently until the honey becomes liquid.

(2) Remove lid and place jar in a microwave oven on the lowest power for a few seconds at a time, checking often. Remember, the honey in the centre of the jar will continue to become liquid after the heating time has finished.
